Maybe you can understand where I’m coming from on this thought… I’ve found myself needing a formula on how to build self confidence for the majority of my life. Now that I’m in my early 60’s I wonder why it took me so long to recognize that I was made perfect. And what I mean by this is, I was made perfectly in the image of God. But the truth is, I’ve seen my flaws and felt my reluctance to have faith and to trust as a road block when it came to having the life I desired.
At times I can still find myself slipping into a struggle with thoughts of wondering if I’m worthy of the life I would love to live out. Why is this? Have you found yourself going into this mental space of thinking, too? What keeps us from feeling worthy of having this beautiful image of a fuller version that we vision ourselves living in?
Many years ago in my search to discover why I always fell short of living this life I wanted, I was led to read Napoleon Hill’s book “Self-Confidence Formula.” I thought some people in my life needed to make some changes, and even though this may have been true, the real truth was that I needed to make some changes in the way I was thinking about myself.
This preceding paragraph is going to seem like I’m steering you in the direction to purchase and the truth is, I sort of am. WHY? because part of growing is learning how to organize the way we think and to think with intention.
During my discovery of working through the hurt and deflated women I was 20+ years ago I began to recognize the importance of being prepared with a pen and multicolored pads of paper. In this way we can keep notes as we are reading. I also like a fine tipped yellow highlighter to highlight areas in my books rather than inking up the pages. Many times I’ll read a book a couple, three times and I notice that different sentences will seem to jump out at me as I’m growing through this process. The yellow highlighter helps keep my books cleaner and the words that I want to remember more organized. These were necessary tools to help me get started on my journey and develop into the author and entrepreneur I sought to become.
Every goal we seek to achieve requires an investment. This is a very minimal one and it will help you stay organized as you grow. I’m certain if you’ve reached a place in your life where you’re tired of being where you are and if you choose to begin this journey of self building, this image you hold of yourself right now, you also will need a telescope to see how much you’ve grown over these days to follow. I’m here to help you achieve your self-confidence building goals.
We are a Spirit living out a human experience and we are going to do one of two things. We’re going to do what the Spirit of this Higher Power within us created us to do which is to GROW, or we’re going to try to make it safely through what ever comes next in life and hope for the best outcome.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve learned that if I’m not creating a better version of who Alisa is, then I’m going to be tossed around by the waves of life fighting for survival emotionally, physically, mentally, or a combination of all 3 of these areas. It took me years to feel confidence in myself, and I want to help you shave off years of frustration by opening up this opportunity of investing a fraction of your time into this book by Napoleon Hill which is your guide to self-reliance and success.
On page 14 is a paragraph that reads… Overcoming negative self-perceptions caused by fear and the destructive attitudes ingrained in him by society was the hardest work of Hill’s life, but it was also the most rewarding. Once he was able to wrest himself from the clutches of fear and self-doubt, he found himself able to enact his success philosophy to its fullest extent, becoming the foremost expert of personal achievement.
It goes on to read… Because it is crucial for controlling one’s thoughts, organizing them into definite plans, and ultimately taking action on them, self-confidence is one of the most important factors influencing personal success.
As a woman who has worked with thousands of people over the past 42 years of being an entrepreneur I have come to the conclusion that self-confidence is one of the most challenging parts of us to conquer. We do have to come face to face with our fears, our short comings, and any and all things that we consider ourselves as being a form of damaged goods.
I say this with great respect because I, too, have felt as if I were damaged to the point of not deserving. We have all lived a past, and as I’ve already pointed out we have a higher more Infinite Being within us wanting to express itself, we simply need to learn how to unleash it!
This means to embrace the NEW that wants to fill our minds and in order for us to be able to do this we have to let go of who we think we are and turn our attention to who we truly are.
I believe the lack of self-esteem has claimed more lives than probably anything else throughout history. We can decide to throw our lives away in many forms of expression or lack of. To the point that we lay our heads down for the last time with regret and without experiencing the value of true self worth.
Confidence in one’s self is a form of development that comes from having a feeling of purpose. And I believe that one of the things that we need to take a deep look at is this fact: OUR ENVIRONMENT BEATS OUR WILLPOWER! What we surround ourselves by shows how we feel about ourselves inside.
Here is a quote from Warren Buffet: The best investment you can make is the investment in yourself.
Every one of us needs to feel like we have value, that there is a reason for our being born. And every individual feels this deep desire to tap into this person within, but first we have to burst through those barriers that each one of us hold onto. Those disbeliefs that we have about ourselves. We are our own worst enemy and we are the only one who can get ourselves out of this mental destruction.
I want to encourage you to take this step into a deeper dive of investing into yourself with allowing yourself time with Napoleon’s Self Confidence formula preferably in both an audible version that costs only pennies a day to listen to as you drive in your car, take your morning run, or anytime you can carve out those 15 minutes in your busy day, as well as, just before you lay your head on your pillow to go to sleep. This will allow these words you read and hear to sink deep within your subconscious mind.

When you do both these action steps of just 15 minutes a day on audible and 15 minutes of reading something to expand your thinking before going to sleep you will be using different parts of your brain to catapult you into living out this dream life that is calling from within you.
Your time has come to release the strongholds of your past failures, fears, or whatever you have emotionally roped around you, and move into the person you were created to become. You are not a failure! Actually there is no such thing as failure. You are simply falling your way into a wonderful expression of life waiting to be unleashed, EMBRACE THIS PART OF WHO YOU ARE BECOMING!
May God’s grace surround you on your journey my friends!
