For most of us our days fly by like hours and we don’t have many minutes to waste.
If you’re like me, you could benefit from learning how to maximize your time. This is why I started using amazon audible to listen to books on the go.
My mom was always a lover of romance novels so I grew up around books. I didn’t have much interest in reading except when I needed books for school studies, or to build my profession. Then, about 13 years ago I started reading books to strengthen who I was as a woman, and get a better understanding of how our mind works. I needed to put positive information in the way I was thinking so I would make better decisions. I found connections with authors who had taken their struggles they had experienced in life and turned them around into designing a life they loved. I wanted to know more about how they succeeded, and how their way of thinking worked differently than mine.
I began traveling around America listening to people in leadership positions that had climbed out from their own mental blocks that had prevented them from living the life they, too, really wanted. I looked for books that would enrich my soul as well as books that would challenge me to grow. Where I wanted to be was on the other side of were I was, and reading has been food for my soul.
Many of my clients talk about their husband’s addictions to Amazon. One of them said her family even calls her husband Amazon Mike. He spends a lot of time ordering things from Amazon for himself and the family because of the convenience of it getting shipped right to your home. They also love how easy it is to return or exchange items. I’ve also experienced the ease of using Amazon, and they seem to have great customer service. You can learn more about audible and its amazing array of books to choose from that best suit your interests.
I find myself looking for reasons to take a drive in my car to shift my mind in high gear towards my current goals even if it’s only for 20 minutes a day. As I have incorporated books from authors like Joyce Meyers, Earl Nightingale, Mary Morrissey, Bob Proctor, Victor Frankl and so many more into my daily routine this has helped me grow exponentially. I would need binoculars to see where I’ve grown from.
Then there’s my client Mary that seemed frustrated when she came into my studio last week and asked me, “Why are men always the ones getting all the glory? Even in the Bible they recognize men and not women.” Which led me to sharing some of my lists of books where woman play a significant role as leaders, and are recognized both in life today as well as in the times recorded in the Bible. I told her about the story of Rahab and the Book about the 12 women of the Bible as well as many more she could look up on Amazon Audible. She found comfort in hearing this, and said she would have to look into it.
With Amazons Black Friday special you can find audibles to give you the rocket fuel you need to reach your goals during your drive to work or school. I even listen to audibles on my way to the grocery store or pretty much every time I get in my vehicle. When the radio quit working in my jeep a few years ago I started listening to books I had downloaded onto audible to help me get my mind in the right perspective. I wanted to stop wasting the little time I had on things that weren’t adding value to my life, or in lives of my family.
